Life @ Lauttasaari is coming to end for now. Why? I am moving in with my Muru link. There might be a time to live in Lauttasaari again, but for now I'll be where my Muru is. I'll keep posting on this blog and changing the name too, when the time is appropriate. And maybe I'll post more often too. You never know. Cheers!

First rays of spring...

So, it's been a while since my last post and much has happened since then, but here's the recap:

High bloodpressure, spring, love, happiness, work, having way less beer, vacation, snow, walking on thick ice, sunshine, photographing, love and gotta find bigger apartment...

Last friday I spend my first breakfast @ balcony. Man, that is awesome!

White Yaksmas!

I has been a while, since we had a white Yaksmas. This year has been a good year for me, so no wonder that this will top it off.

My baby

So, I finally got my baby. 1970 Chevrolet El Camino, with 350 cid(300hp) and TH-350. I drove her from Teuva to Helsinki on tuesday and it couldn't be any better day to drive around small countryroads and just cruising. I was suprised about the mpg, since I filled tank to full on Teuva and after a 250 mil(400km) trip to Helsinki it was only 14 mpg(16l/100) and half of the trip I was cruising on highway about 87 mph(140kmh). Althought there is much to do with her, but technical side is in order, so all I have to do is just drive her around and fixing little bit here and there. As I yesterday was unloading the "junk" that came with her, I found that the previous owner was going to restore her in formef glory and there was around 700-800$ worth of new items. 18 years of dreaming has finally come to end.

Back to basics

So, I sold my Canon gear. I shoot now only with Fuji S5 Pro and Nikkor lenses. Althought I liked my Canon 5D very much, but Fuji has better dynamic range and keeps me out of the computer much more. More time to shoot, less time to tweak shots. Tomorrow I got the news about my Elkie. Yay!

Hot summer day @ Lauttasaari

So, I had a day-off from the work and I did spend it wisely. Got a lot's of thing's done and I spend a lot of time on my sunny balcony. I love wireless. Had my Macbook and cold Dr. Pepper with me at the balcony and life couldn't get any better. Well, just maybe. When my El Camino arrives, one of my long dream is full filled. Latest news is that She'll be here in mid-july. So untill then, Arrivederci!
